Photograph print (an image of spruce shadows taken in the Krkonoše mountains over ten years ago) submerged in water, placed outside in morning air of around -6 degrees Celsius, let freeze, placed into direct sunlight, and then hammered to reveal the underlying print as a surface for the ice medium through which it was originally seen to rest.
Put under ice
A selection of sets of photographs of photographs photographed submerged under ice. First set involves judicious application of a hammer. [Further sets, appearing soon, involve less violent observation of shifting states of images under ice.]
