The twenty prints of Graffiti Phoenix were burned one by one, recorded in the video Phoenix. The ashes were then collected and pressed under glass. When installed, a large print of the above manifestation of the 'phoenix' (which by accident 'got away' due to my inadvertently not having pressed the record button as it began to burn - nineteen of the twenty prints are burned in the video) will be mounted on the wall; beneath it a small screen displaying the 18'30'' video on continuous loop. On a tabletop below, the framed ashes, the wire 'nest' that was used as a basis for the pyre, and a pile of 6x4" reprints of the phoenix with the one that got away uppermost.
